Travel Sales Consultant

Your Mission

You will be at the tip of our sales and customer service spear. Report directly to the General Manager, you will play a critical role in creating positive interactions across all our communication channels (phone, social and e-mail). We think of our Travel Sales Consultants as Traveller Champions; in this role, you will be responsible for:

Championing customer interactions

As part of a close-knit team, you will be the face of the company and the point-person for customer interactions. You will:

  • Track new leads and participate in the maintenance of the CRM database to ensure accurate, clean and consistent data capture
  • Pursue all sales opportunities and schedule follow-up activities
  • Make outgoing calls to new or existing customers, and follow-up with active inquiries to provide a complete experience to any customer who contacts us
  • Respond to customer inquiries (website forms, Facebook messages, chat messages and phone calls), engage with early adopters to answer questions and build loyalty from day one

Championing customer happiness

  • Proactively review and anticipate future customer desires through the promotion of our strong value proposition, tour experience and supporting products
  • Establish a special connection with past and potential customers and identify and understand their travel needs
  • Provide a superior level of customer service through accurate and timely information on destinations, flights, fares, special offers and other travel products
  • Help create and assemble packages that get shipped to our travellers, finalize payments for customers, and send out tour information through individual or batch mailings
  • Manage personal information and document collection to make a reservation
  • Constantly identify and develop new sales tools
  • Be positive and open to continually enhance the team experience in every way
  • Assist other team members as necessary in delivering their portion of the customer experience

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

Education: University degree

Experience: Minimum 3 years of sales experience

Language: Native proficiency in English – written and spoken, French is a plus
